Once you’re done with the fun part of building your project, you have to think about the less fun part: SEO. It’s often the last thing developers and indie hackers want to deal with (not just me right?), so anything that can lessen the burden without relegating the project to internet obscurity is welcome.

As I’ve started building & writing again, I’ve stumbled upon quite a few small tools that help optimize SEO, whether you’re blogging, newslettering, or side projecting.

Here are today’s tools…

1 / Meta Tags Toolkit — No more dealing with a dozen meta tags and hoping your links look good on the billion social platforms you have to post on so you don’t have to update them again. This tool helps you visualize the rich preview embeds your meta tags produce and generates the meta tag code that you can simply copy and paste.

2 / Keyword Tool — This keyword tool helps you find keywords based on Google autocomplete data. If you scroll to the bottom, you’ll also see similar tools for YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, and popular e-commerce sites. And Bing, I guess.

3 / Find Micro Saas Ideas — Are you a chronic side projecter like me and idea’d out? This is a great tool if you just want someone to give you a bunch of validated ideas before you waste time building. Generate them en masse by niche with an easy-to-understand report of how hard it might be to rank for that idea based on your number 1 frenemy (SEO).

4 / Prerender — On the technical side of SEO, this tool is a pre-rendering solution for large and dynamic websites (think React, Vue, and Angular sites). With numbers like 260% faster indexing and a 300x better crawling, it seems worth a try. Believe it or not, no code is needed to add this in.
